I think it’s necessary to find the small things in life that make you happy each day. Whether it’s enjoying a hot coffee or a good laugh with friends, remember to slow down every now and again to really take pleasure in the simple things.
Let’s be honest, we’re all guilty of it at some point in our lives. When was the last time you really looked at the things around you? I feel like I’m just all over the place sometimes, but there is nothing better than getting back to reconnecting with my friends.
Now, are you guys ready for this? Drum roll, please 🙂
Last week I got the opportunity to meet some amazing local designers in Houston. Since I’m a fashion design student myself and I see how hard it can be to come up with a collection at least twice a year; I have a very special appreciation for local designers. As most of you know, I love mixing high-low fashion to create my style. Therefore, if you ladies are tired of pairing your jeans to a t-shirt sometimes, don’t worry! Inclan Studio can easily come to your rescue. They are all about fabric blocking, tailoring, and some bold statement pieces.
I knew I had to experiment a bit with this beautiful jacket for my next blog post as soon as I eyed it. Inclan Studio’s ability to combine fabric, texture, cut and color to create contemporary feminine pieces is just one of the reasons I like them so much. This cool jacket definitely makes a statement by itself and doesn’t need to be overly styled or accessorized. Since I wore this outfit on Sunday at our friends’ house, I made it more daytime appropriate. I think throwing this jacket over a simple t-shirt (turtle neck in this case) and pairing it with a pair of casual vintage look mom’s jean, gives off a bit of a rocker vibe that is fun but still sophisticated. You can also alter your look depending on what shirt or even dress you decide to pair the jacket with. It all differs on the occasion! Even wearing this jacket with a pair of jogger pants and sneakers would be a great dressed-down everyday kind of look. I guess the more versatile the jacket the better! 🙂
I admire all the detail touch of the designs on this jacket and love the adjustable sleeves on this jacket. Depending on the style you are going for, you can button the sleeves tight for more of a casual bomber look, button the sleeves on the second button for a classier look, or even wear it open and let the sleeves hangs for more of an edgier vibe.
