Wedding Guest Dress Story
Happy Tuesday Lovely Readers!
I hope you all had an amazing weekend and got a chance to celebrate father’s day with your family. I’m so bummed out that I couldn’t make it go back home and celebrate it with my dad.
As most of you guys know from Instagram, the past weekend Matin and I were lucky to spend some time with his family. We had so much fun at his cousin’s wedding in Los Cabos. It’s such an amazing time for so many people to get married. As fun as it sounds, it can be stressful to find a perfect wedding guest dress. Honestly, I was kind of struggling to find a perfect dress that fits my budget for this wedding. Therefore, I’ve come up with a few affordable wedding guest dress options for you guys.
While in Cabo, where all these photos were taken, their beautiful wedding inspired me to write this post. Almost everyone I know has at least a wedding to attend this summer. Unlike this Long formal dress, I usually try to stick with cocktail dresses for weddings since I’m able to wear them day and night.
I usually have certain rules when it comes to guest dress shopping. It needs to fit perfectly, be unique, and within my budget. Our Cabo trip was such a last minute decision that I wasn’t able to go to the store to buy the dress. Due to my jammed work schedule, I started searching online and set my budget around $300.
The only thing I had in my mind as far as the style and fit goes, was long and backless. To me, long backless wedding guest dresses are perfect for either black tie events or destination weddings on the beach. Cabo’s scenery is so breathtaking, which makes this type of dresses very romantic and sexy.
Believe it or not, I found this fabulous wedding guest dress on Neiman Marcus online shop for less than $300. As soon as I saw it, it stole my heart. The fit is perfect the way I wanted and the color is just something else, especially when the sun reflects on the dress. The easy part was done; I ordered my favorite dress of all time, but I have to say the waiting game was pretty nerve racking.
I ordered it 10 days before the wedding and wasn’t too sure if I would receive it on time. I was dumbly stressed out since I absolutely didn’t want to wear black in Cabo and my second option was Black. Long story short, I finally received it two days before the wedding and everything went smoothly lol.
I love this particular outfit because it makes me feel refined and elegant, but it’s also fun and comfortable. The shimmer on the dress made me want to incorporate it with silver accessories. As you all know I’m not about matchy matchy, but I sure went for it this time.
I paired the dress With my absolute favorite silver sandals. They are one of the most comfortable heels I’ve ever own. I paired the shoes with my vintage silver clutch. My grandma kept her wedding bag for 45 years. Five years ago while I was in Iran visiting her, she gifted me this beauty. Yup, she surely was a little fashionista back in the 1950s.
Here are my favorite wedding dress options under $300 !
