How to Wear Your Holiday Dress in Different Looks

January 3, 2017

Happy New Year lovely people!

I Hope you scatter joy and happiness wherever you go all 365 days of 2017 and get the same in return.

Now that we all are back to reality and holidays are over, we might be a bit guilty of spending money more than our budget on New Year’s Eve or Christmas Eve dress. Don’t worry though;

I might be able to help you a bit in that area. As long as your holiday dress has a simple/ classic silhouette and not too exposed, you can still turn it around and even wear it both day and night times. Well, let’s not forget that the color of the dress may impact our choices. In that case, you might be able to only wear it at nights.

One of the mistakes I used to make was buying lots of clothes and shoes that would be good for one season to wear. Over the years of working at different retail department stores, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Ave, I really learned the concept of quality over quantity. Since the job required most of us to be very fashion forward and trendy, I taught myself that I would only invest my money on a piece that is versatile and on SALE lol. Honestly, not only I saved money, but also I wear 80% of my wardrobe all year around, so I get the most use out of them.

Most of you guys might remember this dress from my “10 Holiday dresses Under $100” post. I eyed this dress for a while before I purchased it, and decided to not buy it until I make sure I could wear it in different occasions besides holidays. I finally came to an agreement with myself that this dress is more versatile that what I would think of. As we all already know, I can wear it during holiday season nonstop, but I also can wear it at day parties almost all year around since I mostly am in either Texas or California. If you are into partying and going to music festivals in the summer time, this stunning comfortable piece will be your best friend.

In this look, I wanted to show the casual side of the dress. I kept all my accessories the same, add fishnet tights and changed my high heels to a pair of Flat boots. Replacing the black fur with a denim jacket make the outfit more laid back and comfortable. I adore this denim jacket and has become one of the great pieces in my wardrobe due to its lightweight and simple silhouette. Thanks Shein for this great jacket, it has been in my suitcase every time I travel as a great layering piece under my coats and jackets. I just love the little denim line showing through my coat when I walk. I’m sure you will see more of this denim jacket in different looks in upcoming blogs with a little surprise just for YOU.

    I love this dress! And I love how you have styled it perfectly by adding flat shoes, it takes the whole out to a real edgy street vibe. You look gorgeous.
