Spring Leather Shorts

Spring and All its flowers now joyously break their vow of silence. It is time for celebration, not for lying low; you too- weed out those roots of sadness from your heart. – Hafiz

Knit Crop Top| No Winter Last Forever

February 28, 2017

Perfect Knit Crop Top

There is nothing as quite satisfying as finding the perfect seasonal transitional piece and this knit crop top from For Love and Lemons is just that. The fit is amazing and the fabric isn’t too heavy or too light; making it a great choice for the less cool last days of winter and the beginning of spring.
I have a special love for good quality cable knit sweater tops. I was immediately attracted to this top when I first saw it online. It is best to pair this type of knit crop top with something a little more minimal, so it’s not overshadowed. What’s great about this sweater is that it’s suitable for an evening of lounging or a day out and about.

I personally have worn it to a family friend dinner and paired it with high –waist black trousers and a pair of pumps to dress it up. I wore the top with my high-waist green pants (from this post) and a pair of burgundy ankle boots to a Sunday brunch when we were in Denver. It somehow has the perfect combination of ease and luxury- the epitome of laid-back chic.

Since the weather has been great in Houston, I paired my top with a faux leather pencil skirt. I think most people don’t like to show off their washed out/ pale legs when they wear skirts and I have to say I’m one of them. To solve this problem, fishnet tights are always there to rescue me. They also make your legs look slimmer and toned.

As far as accessories go, I stayed very minimal since the knit crop top is the statement piece of this look. The vintage Chanel brooch was a perfect choice to complement the top. To wfinish up the look, I wore my favorite velvet ankle boots and went with my cool and edgy silver clutch.

Stepping Into 2017…

December 31, 2016

Now that another year has come to an end, it really has me thinking about things that I want to work on or things that I want to learn this upcoming 2017. With all the craziness that had happened in 2016, I must say it has been one of the most thoughtful and interesting years so far. It really opened up my eyes to see the truth in people and life overall. I started out the year with soul searching and finding a great purpose in my life. Continue Reading…

Classic Orange Coat | Outfit Of The Day

December 9, 2016

It’s so exciting that coat season is finally here because sometimes you can be lazy for your outfit but be effortless chic at the same time with a classic coat. Although Houston has been pretty chilly these few days, this look is actually from my San Francisco trip I went on a couple of weeks ago. I was excited that it was chilly enough for me to wear my coat out there while Houston was 88 degrees. Continue Reading…

How to Recycle Your Stunning Spring Leather Jacket This Fall

November 16, 2016

One of my absolute favorite pieces of clothing is the bike leather jacket. It’s just so versatile and makes any outfit look cool and edgy. Usually, when it comes to buying a leather jacket, I automatically go for neutral colors. They can be worn with anything you can imagine almost all year around. Although I mostly save money to buy neutral jackets, I have a couple of colorful ones here and there. Continue Reading…

How To Wear Your Summer Culottes This Fall

November 8, 2016
I have to confess these hot days in Houston are just not my cup of tea.  You have no idea how much I was looking forward to this fall for not shaving my legs! Oh, common we all know sometimes you forget to shave them too! I’m one of those people who would rather be a slick steal than anything else. Plus I hate when you feel like your legs are the “medium- duty”, the yellow and green, dish scrub sponge ready to scrub the bottom of the pan. Well, I know pants can get hot especially the skinny ones, so I found a solution for it. I mostly wear the loosey-goosey ones this time of the year. Continue Reading…
