Spring and All its flowers now joyously break their vow of silence. It is time for celebration, not for lying low; you too- weed out those roots of sadness from your heart. – Hafiz
Happy 2nd day of Spring and happy Norouz to all my Persian readers. The sun sure is out in full force this spring and summer! I wanted to show you one of my go-to looks before it gets too warm to wear black. Continue Reading…
How Parmsi Style the Zara Striped Top?
There is no doubt after sharing this post today that I am more than ready for spring to arrive. Ladies, we all know that the striped revolution has begun since 2013 and we are not over it yet.
When I’m on-the-go comfort is always key but I like feeling sexy at the same time. I’m ditching the good ol’ striped top for this Zara Striped Asymmetric top to make a statement!
Must Have Leather Jacket
Happy 2nd day of March loves!
It was one of those March days when it is Summer in the Light, and Winter in the Shade. – Charles Dickens
When mother nature is still trying to make up her mind, a good multifaceted jacket becomes a mandatory part of my wardrobe. Having the right jacket that is easy to remove when it gets warm, but is also able to keep me warm when the wind picks up. Continue Reading…
Perfect Knit Crop Top
There is nothing as quite satisfying as finding the perfect seasonal transitional piece and this knit crop top from For Love and Lemons is just that. The fit is amazing and the fabric isn’t too heavy or too light; making it a great choice for the less cool last days of winter and the beginning of spring.
I have a special love for good quality cable knit sweater tops. I was immediately attracted to this top when I first saw it online. It is best to pair this type of knit crop top with something a little more minimal, so it’s not overshadowed. What’s great about this sweater is that it’s suitable for an evening of lounging or a day out and about.
I personally have worn it to a family friend dinner and paired it with high –waist black trousers and a pair of pumps to dress it up. I wore the top with my high-waist green pants (from this post) and a pair of burgundy ankle boots to a Sunday brunch when we were in Denver. It somehow has the perfect combination of ease and luxury- the epitome of laid-back chic.
Since the weather has been great in Houston, I paired my top with a faux leather pencil skirt. I think most people don’t like to show off their washed out/ pale legs when they wear skirts and I have to say I’m one of them. To solve this problem, fishnet tights are always there to rescue me. They also make your legs look slimmer and toned.
As far as accessories go, I stayed very minimal since the knit crop top is the statement piece of this look. The vintage Chanel brooch was a perfect choice to complement the top. To wfinish up the look, I wore my favorite velvet ankle boots and went with my cool and edgy silver clutch.
I think it’s necessary to find the small things in life that make you happy each day. Whether it’s enjoying a hot coffee or a good laugh with friends, remember to slow down every now and again to really take pleasure in the simple things. Continue Reading…
I must say when it comes to leather pants, I always have a hard time getting rid of them; even my very cheap faux leather kinds. To me, they just take a casual/ everyday look to a whole new level of a cool and edgy vibe. I’m all about sleeping in this time of the year. I personally prefer to take extra 10-minute morning nap than wasting that time standing in my closet and thinking about what to wear. Continue Reading…
I hope you’ve had a great week so far. Last week was a special week for me. My best friend came out here to visit us from Los Angeles for the first time. I must say it was one of those magical weekends that I will never forget. Some people are just meant to be in your life. No matter how long it has been since you haven’t seen them, you always pick up where you have left off. The best part is that I will see her again in a week back home, San Francisco, for thanksgiving. Continue Reading…
